    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mrs. Christensen Jones will make English a fun and exciting course for you too take. She not only starts of the class with an arousing life story; she also cares about you on a personal level and will do anything to make you successful. AP English is also a great subject to take if you are a history buff or follow current events because you are constantly needing outside information to take your essays to the next level.

    Course highlights:

The AP English course is a rigorous and demanding class; however, the knowledge you gain from the class is worth it. The many group project I had to complete were some of the most taxing projects I have ever done, but they were also the most rewarding. These group projects not only taught me how to write better essays and cite my sources, it also taught me how to work with a group and collaborate to create a thesis statement. Taking the AP Exam was the biggest highlight for me because instead of having a stressful test, I had a calm and relaxed test because i knew exactly what to do because i was prepared.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The biggest advice I would give any student taking Mrs. Christensen Jones class is to never miss class. Missing class for one day will be putting yourself in a hole that you can not get out of because there are assignments due every day that she will not let you make up if you are absent. The second piece of advice I would give students would be too do every extra credit opportunity given too you. Mrs. Jones is extremely technical in grading essays which means that she does not give you a grade you do not deserve. So by adding the extra credit to your essays it will help your grade instead of hurting it. The final piece of advice would be to not be a lazy writer. That means double check your spelling, cite your sources and head your paper correctly. It's mistakes like can be the changing point between an A and a C.
