Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class very much.Professor Knowles was very knowledgeable yet able to connect with the students well. He was helpful and understood where we were struggling. He truly wanted everyone in his class to succeed.

    Course highlights:

I gained more respect for professors after this course, he was so understanding and really went out of his way to help us any time he could. I also loved learning more about different cultures and hearing different perspectives from people. I learned to be a less judgmental person.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Some advice I would give to any student considering this course is to take it and never skip a class. When you skip a class you start to fall behind and classes become stressful not enjoyable. Always participate in class because professor Knowles and really any professor will love that.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course because, not only is it required for almost every major, but it teaches you a lot of skills needed for the real world.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about general writing, such as grammar and structure. The main thing I learned, though, was that there are so many different writing techniques.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to keep up with the work. No matter what teacher you have, English 101 is a lot of work, nonstop. If you fall behind even on one "small" assignment, you will have a hard time catching up.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This teacher allows students to really fuel their learning by asking questions and collaborating with other peers. We discuss to learn, not to fulfill an assignment, and I truly loved learning in this English course.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to write an essay that is not simply in a conventional 5-paragraph format, but which asks "So What>" and is plausible with readers who can also disagree with you. An argumentative essay is nothing without logical judgment and evidence to support. This course helps you refine your composition and learn to make the most with your writing.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to do the readings, participate, and ask for help on essay if you need it.
