Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it thoroughly addresses present environmental issues. For anyone interested in environmental science, this class is a real eye-opener to how humans impact the overall health of our globe. The nature of this class also forces one to think outside the box for possible solutions to different environmental crises. The FRQs are sometimes hard, but they are very helpful in connecting different topics of study (for example, they may make one make the connection between the usage of green energy sources and increased eutrophication in an area).

    Course highlights:

I love marine biology, and this course offers coverage of aquaculture and fishing management, which I thought was very interesting. Also, topics such as conservation and urban planning are covered, which offered valuable insight into the relationship between humans and nature.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely learn most of the laws and regulations in each chapter because they appear a lot on tests. Also, it's helpful to reference them in FRQs because it shows you know the material. The textbook is very thorough and has all of the material needed. I would also suggest doing practice tests and FRQs. This course also requires a lot of math without a calculator, so practice doing calculations by hand often (with large numbers).
