    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is a great course to take if you are interested in going into a medical field or have a strong passion for science in general. There were many difficult sections that I struggled with, but I persisted by going to Chemistry tutoring everyday, asking questions in class and studying diligently. This class was by far the hardest A I've ever earned, but it was worth it!

    Course highlights:

In this course we learned about the periodic table and properties of elements, the structure of an atom, chemical bonding, stoichiometry, ideal gas law, thermodynamics and acids and bases. All lessons fell within these catergories.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Always put your full energy and focus into your work and take every assignment seriously as if that one assignment could make or break your grade. With this course, there is a lot of work and studying and if you do it to your best ability and work hard to understand everything, you will be successful in the class.

    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course allows a student to understand of which the world is made of as well as how everything in the world is connected on an atomic scale.

    Course highlights:

Learning to problem solve and create a think-outside-the-box attitude in finding a solution to a problem.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study everything that is taught. Formulas as well as quicker ways to a solution will allow you to master the material.

    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

AP Chemistry is a very interesting course especially for students willing to go into the chemistry field. It allows people to learn about chemicals and go in depth about the elements and bond structures. I would definitely recommend this course for anyone going into the medical or any sort of engineering field. It will definitely come in handy for college and there are a variety of topics covered.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course were definitely the labs. There is a wide range of labs performed so there is bound to be one that you can enjoy. Also the class was very inquiry based, which is where you design your own lab to solve an issue which is very interesting because it allows for independence. I learned a lot about how to structure ways to problem solve because of the inquiry based labs. Instead of relying on basic procedures I was allowed to formulate my own. I also learned a lot about the molecular level of chemistry. An example would be how the atoms bond or the different types of bonds.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

It is a very difficult course and it is very time consuming. However, it is worth it because it teaches a lot life skills and provides a good background for the chemistry field. Also it is very fun with the amount of activities and labs done.
