Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Not only did the class give me knowledge and insight on the world, but so did the students and the teacher. Not only was I able to learn about the ocean and Earth's formation, but I also got to learn some valuable life lessons due to the experiences of my fellow classmates and my teacher, Mrs. Caputo. I enjoyed being in a classroom where I felt comfortable with everyone.

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed my teacher's humor, which made the rigorous course feel less rigorous. I learned a lot about the different type of boundaries that the Earth has (transverse, convergent, divergent) and the different type of formations that are results of the boundaries. I also learned about volcanoes, earthquakes, hurricanes, cyclones, tsunamis, and monsoons. I learned about coral reefs and the type of communities that survive within them. This was all very interesting to me because in all of the other sciences classes that I've taken, the teachers have never really gotten in depth with the material.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Just make sure that you actually make time in your schedule for studying. Study, study, study. Do NOT wait to the last minute to cram everything in the night before the test. The test are pretty much weekly, so please make sure that you are prepared. If you do not feel ready for test, then reconsider the way that you study. Try switching up your study routine, make sure that it isn't repetitive because you might get use to it, which your test scores could be a reflection of. Also, advocate for yourself! If you find an issue with the way your test is graded or a problem with another student or even your overall grade, you need to speak to your teacher so that you can get it all figured out.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This class has taught me many lesson's worth of valuable and interesting information. Also, the teacher made it so easy for the knowledge to be transferred to us.

    Course highlights:

We learned many things ranging from ocean currents to tectonic plates. The AICE level really likes to get deeper into the subjects which is good as it was all going to be present in future science classes.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Decorate your notebook in a way that it will give you easy and rapid access to the key terms at any time.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mrs. Caputo is amazing. She truly wants to help you succeed, but she prepares you to be a responsible adult.

    Course highlights:

Creating the book of lists, or a mini textbook of sorts, was a good method to not only learn the material but to interact with it.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

You really need to listen. She gives so much information in her lectures. If you truly listen and absorb the material she gives, I will guarantee you'll pass your exam.
