Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class to other students, because the teacher focuses on the structure of as well as the analysis of literary works and pieces. Before coming into the class, I wish I had read more Shakespearean plays and looked over the meanings of many Old English words.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were the time periods of many of the literary pieces as well as the broad range of genres of literature that were explored. I learned about the literary devices that authors may implement into a literary piece to emphasize a particular point of view or topic. I also learned how to properly analyze a literary piece and dissect several parts of the literary piece such as the audience that the work is aimed towards, the tone of the piece and the significance of the piece.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in this class, it is important to read several books from different time periods as well as many different types of literature such as epics, farces, poems and plays.
