Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it because this teacher always keeps her students on their toes. She is strict and is hard working. She teaches students to be responsible and provides many opportunities for practicing the material she teaches. Some say that she is crazy and that at times, she contradicts herself. I can agree that the class and teacher may seem like a lot, but the class helps to make students better. It provides knowledge that will be useful in the future and the teacher has had plenty of experience in her position. The teacher may seem intimidating, but don't let that scare you. As a person she is quite nice and if you need help, be sure to speak to her. In addition, she will not bump grades. What you get in the class is what you earned and attempting to bargain, will not benefit you at all.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to read, annotate, and write analysis, argumentative/discursive, and synthesis essays. I learned and went over the basics of English Language such as definitions nouns, adverbs, rhetorical strategies. The teacher had her own methods to help students memorize key ideas and strategies to look for in pieces of writing. I learned time management as well as critical thinking. The class helped me become a better writer and gave me knowledge on how to make my essays better. This course also helped me prepare for the SAT essay, which was extremely helpful. The course broadened my understanding in how to write and understand various pieces of writing.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be organized and confident when taking the class. Don't be afraid to participate, it will help you learn. Remember to go over your notes, because Ms. Baldet does give out pop quizzes to make sure you are going over the material. Do not be late to class. Attendance is required to properly learn all the information. Keep an open mind. There are some things that you may not agree with when Ms. Baldet teaches, but if you follow her instructions you will pass.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This teacher is challenging but when I got to college and was exempt from having to take 2 college English courses, I was so relieved. I was even more proud when I began writing blogs as part of my Corporate position and was complimented on my writing skills by my bosses. It was an unforgettable moment.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to write in a way that captivates the reader and flows. I have received compliments on my writing and haven't even taken one English course in college as of yet.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Red all of the material she assigns and pay attention to the sample essays she writes on the board in front of the class. Ask questions!
