    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class is great if you're good at writing.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about the proper way to do MLA format edition 8 and proper ways to do citations.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Honestly the book was a huge waste of money. Used it once and even then it was barely necessary.

    | Would highly recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it improves your writing skills while letting you write about things that actually interest you. This class is different from a normal high school English class because the professor gives you the freedom to write about whatever you want. Additionally, this class involves discussions about social issues that will challenge your what you thought you knew about important issues. Also, you only have to write an essay a month and write a short answer based on a chapter from the class book, so the class doesn't require too much outside-of-class time.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to write summary, synthesis and research essays. Additionally, I learned how to analyze different forms of text like blog posts, videos, movies, and poetry.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Students taking this course should actively participate in class discussions because professors appreciate the students who add to the discussion, and it will help you write better essays when you have to write a paper about the discussion topic. Also, when you professor lets you write about anything, write about topics that genuinely interest you because your writing is so much better when you actually care about what you're writing about.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is a university required course so there's no getting out of this one! And most likely, your declared major requires it, too!

    Course highlights:

Being in this course motivated me to give my all when writing a paper. I am not the best writer whatsoever but when you have the opportunities to go to your professor's office hours and go to writing critics on campus, jump at the chance. These things will benefit you so much in the end. Don't take these advantages for granted.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to class. Pay attention. Give 110% effort.
