    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Matthew Gerner is a very good teacher, however, in his power points, he makes it difficult for students to follow along.

    Course highlights:

Dr. Gerner is a very outgoing guy. I learned that chemistry is fun when you learn how to do it right.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to study this class at least once a day in order to understand what to do and when to use what equation. It may not seem doable, but it is.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Hershberger is thorough in her lectures and responds fairly quickly to email concerns. With all Chemistry courses you must be able to put in the time to create your own study materials, and you are expected to understand what is going on or ask for help when you need it.

    Course highlights:

You gain basic Chemistry knowledge and tools that you will need for Chemistry II.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Create study guides directly from the power points, and create flashcards to look over throughout the semester for molecules. Do all homework and take the practice quizzes and tests that are online.
