    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I had to take it for my major, but if you can avoid this class, I suggest you do. Let me preface by saying that Sociology and Psychology are two things I'm extremely interested, so I thought this class would be right up my alley. However, the professor often goes on random lectures about things unrelated to the course, for example, one day he discussed cockfighting for an hour. He often re-teaches the same topics as well. He is a very nice guy, but I feel like I've learned nothing and often leave the class more confused than when I came. The tests aren't super hard because I self-teach using the textbook, but his lectures don't help much, if any. You are also required to write a 12 page paper over a social world. He breaks it down into components, which is very useful. Overall, nice guy, just not a fantastic course.

    Course highlights:

I learned about "the self" and how we form it and how we socialize and enter into social worlds.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the textbook, go to class the next period after the tests because he gives bonus on them for showing up.

    | Would recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Yes! Very easy and straightforward. Only 4 tests including the final but your lowest score gets dropped.

    Course highlights:

Learned how the mind works and how people think and why

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you like writing papers, take the class. There is one very long one that you write over the course of the semester.
