Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I'd recommend this course, not only because it is required for most students, but because it is really good practice for writing essays that will help a lot with future courses.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to develop my ideas in more productive ways, making my opinions in different subjects more compelling.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Though this class wasn't extremely difficult, it wasn't something to blow off either. I would definitely take due dates seriously and avoid procrastinating. It's very easy for a due date to sneak up on you in this class; there never seems to be enough time to write everything you want to.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Even though many students take this course before their freshman year, I would recommend this class because it explicitly showed me the expectations of college writing and helped me transition to a higher writing level in a comfortable environment.

    Course highlights:

We had four major papers to turn in. With each paper, you applied new techniques that she previously explained. We peer reviewed our papers in class and received helpful feedback.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Peer edit!! It's so helpful to hear other people's criticism.
