Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Even though many students take this course before their freshman year, I would recommend this class because it explicitly showed me the expectations of college writing and helped me transition to a higher writing level in a comfortable environment.

    Course highlights:

We had four major papers to turn in. With each paper, you applied new techniques that she previously explained. We peer reviewed our papers in class and received helpful feedback.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Peer edit!! It's so helpful to hear other people's criticism.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The Professor makes the course fun and easy to understand. She helps whenever it is needed. Also, the essays required throughout the course resulted in newfound knowledge. They also helped to create a more open mind due to the research.

    Course highlights:

The class was very interactive. We played games to help review for the midterm which made it easier. Also, I learned how to genuinely listen to the opinions of others, and accept their criticism on my writing.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't stress about the length of the papers. Also, don't procrastinate, because last minute papers are not fun to write. Try not to skip class unless you absolutely have to, because its easy to miss out on the information that you need.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The instructor is very understanding and helps you through your first year to the best of his ability. He will work with you and base work off of how well the class does instead of how well we should be four years from now. Most instructors expect you to already know what what they expect out of you as a student and end up raising the bar too high for first year students fresh out of high school.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were the essays. You learn how to write argumentative essays, critical essays, synthesis essays, and summaries.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

It is a fairly easy class as long as you do the work and talk with the instructor about any problems that arise so he can help.
