    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course was difficult, and the workload is strenuous, but it is taught well.

    Course highlights:

The course went into great detail about enzymes and proteins and the way they function in the body. This gave me a great understanding of biochemistry that has helped me in my goal of becoming a Physician Assistant

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Talk to the teacher. She is stern, and very strict, but very knowledgeable.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I wish I had used more of the resources available to me with this course. Up until this point, the science classes were easy. This class really tested me. I wish I had gone to the professor and TAs much sooner after I failed my first exam. I definitely underestimated the material, and my lack of preparation really showed. Always ask for help when you need it. That doesn't mean you're stupid or shouldn't be in the class, just that you need extra help. You'll find many situations like this in your career, and its important to swallow your pride and ask for help.

    Course highlights:

Honestly, this was a necessary science course to complete my degree. Although I don't use the things I learned in this class on a daily basis, it was helpful to learn the background of biochemistry in order to understand how nutrients act in the body.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study, ask for help, and create a team of other students to go through material with.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this for anyone that is very intellectually gifted, motivated to join the biotech field, and very determined. This was a very challenging course, but it encompasses almost all of biology and very informative. Teacher does not go easy though, he will push you to do the most you can!

    Course highlights:

I learned so much from this course. From basic biology, to organic chemistry, to nutrition, to protein interactions. This course has a way of tying together everything you learn throughout your biological career. The teacher is certainly tough, but if you are talented you will be able to do way more than you ever thought you could.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

If you're just filling your schedule, do not take this course! If you expect the teacher to curve, do not take this course! This is a challenge but you will learn tons.
