    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend taking this course because you will gain a large amount of useful information on employment law that will helpful to you in the future. Whether you go into Hospitality Management or not, HMD 402 covers employment law for any field you go into. The only difference is that the course integrates more hospitality cases and examples into the class.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was being able to incorporate what we learned in class, into our daily lives in the workplace. I was able to learn about the rights that I had as an employee as well as the rights of the company. Some new things that I learned included; wage & benefit, employment discrimination, the hiring process, and family & medical leave.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The most important I would give to a student considering taking this class is to stay on top of the reading assignments. If you do not read assignment before class, then it will be more difficult for you to follow along with the lecture. Keep in mind that each reading assignment is only a chapter or two long.
