This class was tough.
I would definitely recommend this course, especially with Professor Andres. He is very knowledgeable about Genetics, and cares about whether or not the students are learning. He is clear with his explanations, and there's never a point in class where anything is wishy washy. Although Professor Andres can deliver the information thoroughly and clearly, the material is very difficult. This course requires more than 15 hours a week of study time. However, every content that is taught can be applied to real life, so you won't be wasting your time.
Genes are a mystery, and there's always something new to discover about them. Genetics is so complex that even with the finest technology we can't seem to pinpoint where a disease truly originates from, because there are traits that are controlled by more than one gene, this is called polygenic inheritance. If you have a passion of learning about how genetic traits are inherited or how cancer develops, then this is the class for you.
