    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend English Language and Composition because through the course students develop better writing skills. The course taught students how to properly write essays and research papers, ultimately preparing students for college.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course was improving your writing skills based on difficult prompts. I enjoyed seeing my scores improve from 4s and 5s to 8s and 9s. I learned how to analyze a speech or poem for its rhetorical strategies, as well as, create a coherent argument based off of a stimulus packet.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The best advice to students considering this course is to stay on top of your work. Also, to look at example AP 8s and 9s papers, in order for you to see what a high level paper looks like structure wise, and sounds like content wise.
