    | Would recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Some high schools require an online course to graduate, and I would recommend this course to anyone interested in computer science or anyone interested in expanding their knowledge. However, this is an AP course, so do not expect this class to be an easy A. Make sure you work on schedule and invest a great deal of time into the course.

    Course highlights:

I learned basic Java concepts in this course. Also, there were some interesting topics such as recursion and object-oriented programming that dwell on Java a little more. Lastly, there was basic technology information such as identity theft protection and how computers started.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend buying the review book, Barron's Review, that is also recommended by the instructor. Also, the eimacs book provided by your instructor provides really good practice and concepts. Most importantly, please treat programming as a hobby if you want to do your best. Coding outside of the course exposes students to the topic through reinforcement.
