    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because it has made me a better speaker and helped me to step out of my shell with all the speaking we did.

    Course highlights:

I gained a better understanding for what exactly communications is and how to be a better speaker and more comfortable with it.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

I would say to study and go to all the classes that are provided.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I did not enjoy this class because I do not enjoy public speaking. The speeches were not too difficult to begin with, but after the first two speeches got significantly harder.

    Course highlights:

One highlight was that after every speech we were sent a video of it. It was very awkward to watch, but also very helpful for improvement.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice would be to start your speeches early. This class is all about preparation, and you will succeed and feel much more confident the more you practice and prepare.

    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because although I still don't like to speak in front of a big audience, I gained skills that helped me to be a more confident person. The professor didn't look at how you stuttered or how nervous you were, he looked at how much you improved throughout the class.

    Course highlights:

I gained confidence. Throughout this course you learn what you can do to make yourself feel better before, after, and during a speech. Before this class, I would dread speaking in front of a group of people, but now I have a little more faith in myself, so much in fact, that I will be giving a toast at my sister's wedding soon.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Practice, practice, practice. The more you practice before giving any speech, the better you will do during. Also, don't be afraid to ask questions or talk to the professor about what he thinks will be helpful to get rid of speech anxiety.
