    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Professor Reed is a professor that really takes the time to make sure that students understand how to actually work the technology. He runs a more hands on course rather than paper exams.

    Course highlights:

This course gave a highly in depth explanation into both Microsoft word and Excel. That included teaching students to use keyboard shortcuts instead of using a mouse, showing techniques to enhance visuals, and identified real life situations in which techniques would be used.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Show up to lectures and pay attention. That will make this course extremely easy.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend taking this class, as it is a requirement for a few different major programs on campus. It wasn't terribly difficult. Professor Reed would go through every project and simulation with you in class before they were due. The exams were always a little difficult, but were all easily passable. Professor Reed was always willing to help during office hours, and there was very few assignments due during the semester. I passed with a B+.

    Course highlights:

Though I'm not personally much of a computer savvy person, this course actually taught me really interesting short cuts on Microsoft Word, as well as features that I did not know even existed. Microsoft Excel and Access were also covered during this course. I had a little less understanding for these programs, but still was introduced to the basic functions that these programs offer.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Find a study group in this class. Trying to figure out a task by yourself can end up leaving you very frustrated. Also, Professor Reed encourages you to search the internet on how to solve the tasks you are given. He does not consider this cheating, whatsoever. It is a computer class in which you are entertaining your resources.

    Advice for students:

I would really attend the class because he gives tips and shortcuts on how to complete the homework efficiently.
