    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

The importance of understanding how to describe, construct, and deconstruct a problem is essential to computer science and to life.

    Course highlights:

CS 105 doesn't necessarily shove you into the coding world. The course feels more like a gentle introduction to what computer science is about as a philosophy.

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always maintain healthy sleep habits, food habits, physical activity, and maintain close relationships with classmates and professors.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This is an amazing course. It might be a little "basic" for more experienced computer scientists and engineers, but it is a great introductory to several different programs, including animation and robotics. It provides a lot of information about how computer technology and programming came about and all sorts of fields you can work in with a computer related degree.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to work the basics with a few different programs, including an animation and robotics program. I also learned how to work with algorithms and how to efficiently code my way through a maze with a limited amount of moves available. Dr. Leverington offers a lot of advice in this class that is applicable not only to his class but to the rest of your college classes, some of which I have found incredibly helpful throughout my freshman year.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

This is a fairly easy course and most of our material is learned in the classroom. I personally did not need to study for this class, but I would recommend talking to your classmates or visiting with the professor if you need clarification on anything.
