Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course was super easy. She is pretty laid back and kind. She expects a lot from you as a student, but it super helpful in the areas you need. Although, this is college, so if you need the help you as a student need to go to her office hours which are normally held at convenient times and places that are easy to find on campus. If you go to class and do the work, you will pos likely get an A, but the work needs to be of quality.

    Course highlights:

How to be a better and more organized writer

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Go, attendance does matter, but did count as extra credit.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class with this professor because it's an excellent writing class that synthesizes writing with presentations. This professor also gets his students to think outside of the box. Our class had this one writing assignment where we had to find a community on campus and explain why it has the title it does. For example, my assignment was based on the ROTC program at the University of Nevada, Reno and I had to explain why it was known as one of the best ROTC programs across the nation. Students weren't allowed to talk about how fun Greek life is, we had to boil each topic down to the point where one had to write about why Greek life was so prominent on campus and why they do so much community service and what kinds they do. For our assignment we had to conduct interviews and do our own research. While doing this assignment, Robert was available for help whenever we had asked for it. For my assignment, Robert had helped me figure out my organization in my paper and had given me honest feedback on how to make things better or things I should change. I feel as if this course helps students with their writing abilities as well as their ability to be able to speak in front of a class considering that Robert is very interactive and energetic towards his students. It was definitely a class I'll never forget!

    Course highlights:

Throughout this course, I learned a lot about how I write. I learned that I enjoy writing about statistics and budgeting in the military and government and how that can tie into the problems in the economy and how that effects us as students at a college. I also learned about how important it is to take into consideration one's audience, the concept, and the background of the writing situation before writing a paper. As a class, we also had to incorporate the Means of Persuasion into our writing for effect. This class has honestly helped me become a better writer, I still use the notes I took in that class to this day because they are so helpful.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

When a professor tells you his/her office hours, write them down, and use them to your advantage. The professors are telling you that they have time outside of class to meet with you and help you, one on one, with whatever you are struggling with. I feel as if you don't take advantage of those kinds of opportunities, you might be left confused in class and could only worsen your grade. Office hours are in place to HELP you, not hurt you.
