Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Brouwer Burg is an amazing professor! Her lectures are extremely interesting, and she is always open to questions and discussions. She is also very accommodating and is willing to discuss grading on anything from simple assignments to tests.

    Course highlights:

This course was a great overview of anthropology, and everyone should take it for Discovery credit! Course content is very applicable to everyday life.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do all the assigned readings (they are actually interesting to read) and go to class! Especially the Anthro Lab days - getting a low grade or zero on those assignments is really detrimental to your grade. Her attendance policy is that you need to attend 10 lectures to get full credit, but attending lecture is really the best way to get the course material for the exams (but she DOES post slides!)

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Overall, I would recommend this course. It was an easy discovery to get out of the way. There were lots of extra credit opportunities and participation helped raise my grade. There were only two exams and the final was online.

    Course highlights:

We learned about so many cultures it was a little hard to keep track of. We learned a lot about the economic systems and cultural norms all around the world.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You don't always need to go to class, but make sure you get all your participation points. Go to the review sessions before exams because there are usually extra credit opportunities.
