    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Way too lecture heavy!!! Copies and pastes from the book and just reads off the slides.

    Course highlights:

None, I literally did not learn anything from this class because the professor made it so hard to follow along, the lab for this class also sucks, but the graders usually arent too difficult.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't take it with this professor if you can avoid it.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course gives the basics to the more complex ideas of molecular and cellular biology. The skills learned in this course are highly useful and integral to further learning in higher level biology's and associated courses. This course is essential to the basics and complexities of the human genome and how DNA and RNA works in cell bodies to duplicate, synthesize, and mutate.

    Course highlights:

This course teaches students about DNA, RNA, and proteins and how they interact in the cell bodies and how they are made. Students learn how cells can grow and duplicate their DNA and use RNA and protein in the involved processes. Students also learn about cellular respiration and photosynthesis and how cells from plant cells undergo these processes, in the harnessing and expenditure of energy from surrounding elements. Students learn about how cells undergo Meiosis I, Meiosis II, and mitosis and accompanying phases.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

This class requires lots of studying and it would be wise to use both the recommended text book and use office hours to ones advantage. This class requires lots of memorization so flashcards or other study methods for memorization would be recommended.
