    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I really enjoyed this course. It was a good overview of genetics as a whole and gave a small preview to many other courses, like microbiology. I felt that the course was sufficiently detailed, and I enjoyed the instructor.

    Course highlights:

Highlights included transmission genetics and molecular genetics, including the lac operon and other regulation pathways. We started at Mendelian genetics and moved all the way up to what is happening in the field today

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Attend recitation, it is helpful to know what you are doing correctly and incorrectly. I would recommend going to lecture even though they are posted online. I only ever looked up definitions in the textbook,

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is great for people interested in Biology and want to get into details about what we are made of exactly. We cover the entire book in class, so be prepared to learn a lot!

    Course highlights:

I've learned about population genetics, molecular genetics, and transmission genetics in great detail. I believe the highlight of the course was learning that in Mexico researchers were able to have a woman birth a child that had the dad's sperm, the mom's nucleus, and a donor mom's cytoplasm (The original mother had a mitochondrial disorder).

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Bring a laptop to write notes with. He talks extremely fast, and sometimes it is hard to keep up with a pen and paper. Make use of the tegrity lectures he posts online and use it to study.
