    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is a necessity for those pursuing any engineering degree. Physics 407 was just basic kinematics, but 408 has a deep application towards the engineering fields. This classes is a tangling of equations, relating all that has been taught from previous physics classes into single problems. Challenging, yes, but is extremely helpful for understanding purposes.

    Course highlights:

I have gained a lot of knowledge about heat engines, energy at the molecular level, how circuits work and the directions how positive/ negative energy flows. What is best of all is that this course teaches where and how these teachings will be applied, not just "this is what it is, now do it."

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

DO YOUR READING! If you think waiting till the last minute is a good idea, you are greatly mistaken! I'm glad I took this course freshman year because it is showing me just how important doing work on time is. A few hours on an eight question homework assignment becomes the norm pretty fast. The sooner you get your mind in gear for doing homework and putting down the electronics, the better!

The professor made the course! He understands math anxiety!

    Course highlights:

We learned the basics of physics.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study frequently there is a lot of material. Professor is great at explaining all problems just reach out to him for help.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Crames baby was an excellent teacher. He was very responsive to feedback and made sure that learning the material was more important than grades!

    Course highlights:

Electricity was pretty fun! Magnetism can be difficult. The final is cumulative but not terribly difficult. The labs were brutal and not fun at all!

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Do homework with a group so you can help each other. Review recitations, labs and homeworks before exams. Don't be afraid to go to office hours because they are very useful.
