    | Would highly recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Dowd was great. The class wasn't too hard and you learned a lot. Taking notes is all you need to do to do well on exams because a lot of the questions are word for word from lecture. If reading helps, do it but I didn't think it was necessary.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about history. Especially Greek and Roman. If you like that stuff, this course would be good. Later in the course you get into more modern stuff but the majority is ancient writers. His essays are vague but it teachers you how to develop your own style. He doesn't care if it's a little different than what he wanted exactly, as long as you tried.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to class. Take notes. If he says it a bunch of times, it'll be on the exam. The little details that might not seem important, probably are. If he mentions it in a review, it'll be on the exam. He is a tricky professor. Use QUOTES in your essay. The more quotes the better. Explain the quote.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If this class is to be pursued as a gen ed credit than I would not recommend taking it. The concepts are hard and difficult to understand. It is not an easy grade to boost your GPA which is why I would not suggest it for a gen ed.

    Course highlights:

    The teacher was very enthusiastic.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you do all of your online homework and study really well before exams.
