Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class increased my ability to write and analyze literature significantly. The teaching style was supportive with a decent amount of work and an interesting approach to classic literature. Not only will you develop a new appreciation for literature, but you will also have the opportunity to hone in your own English writing skills.

    Course highlights:

Some of my favorite parts of this course were the books we read. Classics such as the Great Gatsby and The Scarlet Letter were discussed as a class and shown to have much deeper meanings than what appeared on the surface. I also enjoyed learning different styles of rhetoric and satirical speech. I do wish we could have spent more time on those topics.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do your homework. Homework is such a large grade. Homework includes the essays, the vocab, the reading assignment. Do it. It may seem that there is not enough time in the world to do it all, but make the time. You won't regret doing so.
