Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Johnston goes really in depth about what he's teaching to make sure you understand, you can tell he has a serious passion for English and makes the class easy enough to fully understand.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about my writing styles and how to make the most and the best out of my essays to in turn learn how to write better in college

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Get use to writing many essays and not always getting back the grade you expected in your first couple of essays

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

The teacher is extremely kind and very understanding as well as cooperative and passionate about his job. It is extremely evident that he puts his students first and our grades. Yes, it was difficult to begin at first but with his help and a bit more work, it was easy to catch on to the subject and now I haven't made lower than an eighty average.

    Course highlights:

The best part of this course was the Socratic circles and debates. Naturally, I just love talking and arguing my point and with this class, I could and I did, as well as many other of my fellow peers. The Socratic circles were mainly student-led and the teacher rarely stepped in unless the students and I got too loud or we became stuck on one topic.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

My biggest tip when it comes to this English course would have to be to not underestimate it. For a little while, a lot of my fellow peers and I underestimated how easily we could get work done and how quickly we could too- don't do that. Treat this class as if it is just as important as your language class and everything will go smoothly and you will pass with flying colors!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

English allows you to analyze novels and books a way you have not before.

    Course highlights:

Reading the Great Gatsby was interesting as it taught me the idea of the American Dream.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Give your all. Your won't regret it.
