    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I have an affinity for calculus, but even for those who struggle, the math department as a whole offers countless resources to help students understand the subject matter. I attended many office hours (not for my professor, but for another professor, Ben Lewis, who is phenomenal, and for my TA, Tim Campion, who is likewise a total star) and the professors were very patient and clear in their explanations. The homework was generally fine (it's online, via WebAssign) and I learned to use the "practice another version" or "watch it" tool when I was stuck on a problem. Review sessions were held before each test, and overall I felt that the course was designed to help disciplined and dedicated students succeed.

    Course highlights:

The willingness of the TAs and professors to offer help outside of class and office hour times

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the homework. Don't just guess or do the watch-it; make sure you actually understand. The more practice you have, from putting genuine work into the homework, tutorials, and practice tests, the better you will do on the tests.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it gives students an understanding of the more complicated aspects of calculus.

    Course highlights:

This course taught me how to take triple integrals which is invaluable in finding the volume of irregularly shaped objects.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure that you go in for help if you are struggling.
