    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It's a requirement for numerous courses of study at the University. Dr. Brown is known as the best Gen Chem professor; he is funny and engaging.

    Course highlights:

It's tough, especially because so many people who are required to take Gen Chem aren't actually pursuing or are interested in chemistry related fields.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Read ahead! A lot of people don't use the textbook at all, but you don't get all of the info you need just from listening to the lectures. Reading ahead helps me keep up in class.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Definitely required due to its being required general knowledge

    Course highlights:

I learned that my high school chemistry courses were lacking.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I learned absolutely to budget my time, ask questions, and tackle the course head on. Do not prioritize alcohol and video games, it'll be the death of your GPA, hopes, and aspirations.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

If you print the lectures slides as notes you will do well.

    Course highlights:

Pay attention during class as 95% of the material on the exams is covered in class.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Basically, the only grade that matters is the final.
