I would absolutely recommend this course to all incoming freshmen that are considering a STEM major. It teaches students not only what it means to be an engineer, but also how to effectively think through real-world problems to come up with a variety of plausible solutions.
Personally, I enjoyed the robotic pet project and the floating platform construction. Through these, I learned the fundamentals of programming, how to apply math to physical scenarios, and the pathway from an idea to a prototype.
