Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course helps you to see the world through other people's perspectives. It explores topics that are considered taboo in our society and really helps you to understand why they are valued in other cultures. It has been one of the most valuable courses I have taken so far and the material was all super interesting. Dr. Wanderer really knows the material covered in this course and makes it accessible to her students.

    Course highlights:

I learned things I never expected to. This course not only teaches you about different cultures and their practices, but it also teaches you how to be a better and more understanding member of society. Through discussions of cannibalism, illegal organ trade, plastic surgery, and genital mutilation, this course teaches you how to understand other people's cultural practices and how to better understand other people

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The course involves a lot of reading and in order to be successful you really do have to do the assigned readings. Graded assignments and exams require an in depth knowledge of the text that cannot be achieved through simple skimming.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

The class is free flowing and Dr. Yearwood keeps the class engaged and intrigued in the material. He provides a different perspective than that of other professors and the material is interesting and important to know and understand

    Course highlights:

In this course, I learned the ins and outs of anthropology in different cultures and what that means to my life. It relates concepts in different countries and different time periods and connects them to America and today's society.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

In the course, students should keep up with the reading in the textbook and the other books that are assigned. As long as they do that, success should not be a problem.
