Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course was extremely insightful and covers a broad spectrum of business topics. You will gain knowledge in the areas of economics, marketing, accounting, and more. The professor is very understanding and available to help her students.

    Course highlights:

The main highlight is how interactive the professor is with her students. She makes sure to get the class involved/engaged. Lectures are insightful and exciting.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

You MUST read the book and come to class. Much of the exam material comes from her lectures, but not specifically her slides. A lot of the exam also comes from the book.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

the class is extremely difficult, but it forces you to study and you begin to retain information you didn't think you would understand. It makes you think about things in a different way.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to study, which is extremely important in college. This is not a class you can look over the notes once or twice, you need to set time aside specifically for this course a few times a week in order to fully understand the concepts.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

STUDY STUDY STUDY. Read the book by chapter, and read each chapter at least three times while taking extensive notes on it. Go to class. Take extensive notes on everything he says in class because sometimes there are questions on quizzes that refer to things he talked about in class. If you can, find an older friend that has old test banks because Atkin recycles almost all of his questions.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Though this course is difficult, you defiantly get a lot out of it. Dr. Atkin is very well informed in many different sectors. If you put in the work, you will succeed in this course.

    Course highlights:

This is the first business class you will take at the University of Pittsburgh. You basically tackle the major overview of business and their complex environments. Really, this is where you develop the base for the rest of your business career.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to do well in this course you need to know the textbook really well. The entire course is based off of the book, so not knowing it will be detrimental. Make sure you stay organized and focused.
