    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It was an interesting class but it did involve a decent amount of math.

    Course highlights:

I learned how consumer supply and demand can be affected by price changes. Also the difference between inflation and deflation and how it affects our ability to make purchases.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely have an understanding of basic algebra and pay attention to the lectures they are helpful in understanding course material.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Personally, this was my worst class. All of the course material was online and my professor simply read off of the powerpoints. It is very difficult to be successful in this course unless a student learns how to teach themselves. I also find it very helpful to find friends and form a study group so that you can reflect ideas off each other and discuss different Economic theories.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was definitely my recitation. I actually ended up switching my recitation sessions because I wasn't a huge fan of my first TA. After finding a good fit, however, I was able to connect with the text and relate the problems to real life situations.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Attend recitation! The actual class was in a huge lecture hall so it was easy to lose focus and pay attention to other things on a laptop/phone. Attending a recitation with a helpful TA with definitely help to clearly work through the textbook and it provides one-on-one attention if you put forth the effort to seek it.
