Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

She was an amazing professor! She put all of her lecture notes online and made sure they were easy to understand. Her explanations of complex psychological ideas made class invaluable and tests pretty simple. She used polls and also interactive tools to keep us engaged and interested.

    Course highlights:

I think the main sections of this course were Child Development, Psychological Disorders, and Clinical Psychology

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Since she doesn't take attendance you are going to want to skip, but going to class will really solidify you getting an A on the exam.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course was more than just an intro course for me. Typically the idea is to preface all of the ideas that psychology dives into, but Dr. Zuckoff made it much more interesting. He was engaged with the class and involved us in the learning process, which ignited my love for the subject. Dr. Zuckoff goes further in-depth with subjects that usually are just touched upon throughout an intro course. If you are truly interested in psychology like I am and want to have a professor who is involved and wants the student to love the topics as adamantly as he does, take Dr. Zuckoff.

    Course highlights:

What I was able to take away from this course was introductions to different concepts of psychology that gave me the desire to dive in deeper as I have in many of my other psychology courses. I learned about different mental health disorders as well as the parts of the brain that are affected in order to provoke these disorders. Additionally, I was able to learn about many theories that were famously studied throughout history including Pavlov's classical conditioning and Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. Dr. Zuckoff did an excellent job of setting a foundation that I have built upon in the three semesters since taking the course.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise doing the readings that are required before the class each day, they help you to get a general understanding of the concepts he will cover in lecture. Also the best way to study for his exams is to teach the material to somebody who knows nothing about it. It is a great way to learn it yourself as well.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is an easy introductory course where you learn a lot but don't need to put in a ton of time outside of the class.

    Course highlights:

Grad students would come in and talk about studies they are doing and how you can get involved (paid to be a participant).

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention in class and take good notes. And hour of review before the test should be enough to secure a decent grade.
