Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This was an online course, and although I was skeptical at first about whether I would benefit from it as much as a classroom course, I discovered that I could get just as much as I put into it. Our instructor kept the blackboard discussion topics relevant and interesting, and was always available for communication. The textbook was engaging and the course overall thought-provoking and informative.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of the class was the interaction with other students. As an online class, this got off to a bit of a slow start, but as we grew more confident, our discussions evolved and became very stimulating. While the course was a simple overview of sociology, its practical application to real-life scenarios prove helpful even if this course is simply taken as an elective.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

This course is full of writing assignments and reading, so be sure to schedule plenty of time for completing these. Owning or renting the textbook for the semester is a must -- it is used extensively every week.
