    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend Dr. Zapanta for this course. She made it extremely fair and possible to do well. Obviously, you still need to put in effort and study. But if you do, you can definitely do well.

    Course highlights:

This class provided a solid foundation in basic biology. We learned about the different types of macromolecules and their various functions. We also learned about cells and genetics.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you get copies of the previous years' exams. They will really help.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class is really informative, and if it's taught well, you'll do well. It's also one of the most basic Biology courses you can take at Pitt.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot of the fundamentals of Biology, which really set me up for the next class.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Put in the work that they recommend, you are guaranteed to do well then. And if you have any questions at all, don't be afraid to go to office hours. Most teachers really want to see you succeed in their class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it because McGreevy is one of the sweetest professors I've ever met. However, don't let that fool you into thinking that you can do nothing and get an A. Noooo, you have to make sure you study and ask questions to understand everything better. Her TA's are a well oiled and highly organized machine, so if you're too scared to go to her because you want her to think you're Einstein, GO TO THE TA's ( THEY SAVE LIVES)

    Course highlights:

Highlights were the TAs and Erica. The TA's were always there if you needed help and McGreevy did lots of case studies to help you understand how what she's talking about applies to real life.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Put a lot of hours into the course tests so that when finals come around ,you're not on the struggle bus. TRUST ME!!!!! You wont have enough itme to study for her final when you have 3 other finals to study for.
