    | Would highly recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

It's a great way to get your ear attuned to different music styles from around the world. We are often limited to the music of our peers and family. This class looks at what defines music.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were doing a soundwalk of a route we often take. You realize you miss out on many sounds as we are accustomed to blocking out the irrelevant or wearing headphones to drown out the outside. Listening to my surroundings in more detail made me aware of the overwhelming lack of silence that is truly available living in a city .

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Listen carefully because some of the quizzes are audio based. I would suggest to perhaps listen to more world music now to get a feel for the different sound that are out there

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Your grade sole is based on your TA, so hope you get an easy TA!

    Course highlights:

There are so many chances to explore the history and cultures of other countries. Listening to their music also shows you how music from the US affected other countries' music and vice versa.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Take the course only if you are genuinely interested in the course, if not, it isn't worth it.
