    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The course is a prerequisite for pre-med, but this class is very hard, so if you don't have to take it, don't.

    Course highlights:

Lot's of molecular bio and about the mechanisms of reproduction and cloning

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Go over the lecture slides and notes. Read the book as well even though it isn't required

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

You will learn some of the basics to biology and Dr. Wendelt is a very interesting and straight forward professor.

    Course highlights:

The course is split up into three units. First, DNA replication, second, evolution, and third, ecology.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention in class and in recitation because a lot of the time she gives you questions that are very similar to those that are on the test.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Biology is one of my favorite fields of science. Not only that but Dr. Wandelt is a really engaging and fair professor. She made the course interesting and although she may come off as being really strict, she is really very nice.

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed this course more than Bio 1 because it was more about ecology and biomes. Also, I love learning about transcription and translation and this was the course where it was covered. I learned a lot about different way animals communicate with one another which was probably my favorite part of the course.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to succeed in this course it is crucial that you keep up with the reading and do all the mastering biology homework sets. Also, Dr. Wandelt posts worksheets every week for things that you should familiarize yourself with before lecture. I would definitely do all of the worksheets she posts because it helps you to learn the information more thoroughly when she does cover it in lecture.
