    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course to any student looking to expand their knowledge and challenge their English skills. This course not only contributed to my skills in communication from collaborating in a group, but has exceeded my expectations in achieving an advanced writing etiquette. I learned various writing techniques and structures as well as rhetoric.

    Course highlights:

The most significant part of this course consists of practicing rhetoric, argument, and synthesis essays. These essays were stressed in this course as an essential way of succeeding on the AP Exam. These essay types also granted me the practice of essays I will need to write in college. This preparation for college greatly enlightened my sense of invigorating work to expect in my expanse of education.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

To any student looking into taking this course, I would recommend studying as much as possible. It is important to memorize any and all terms that your're unfamiliar with. Also be sure to know the proper usage of each term, as it becomes important to use these terms, but is useless if not used correctly. Expect to be worked as if you are in a entry level college class. The difficulty is not as drastic until the middle of the year and on, but is still rather difficult to adjust to the fast pace curriculum.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course due to the fact that Mrs. Stubbs taught the curriculum in a difficult yet engaging manner. I feel 100% confident that I can bust out an essay on any given topic in under 45 minutes. My writing skills from when I was a junior to now have improved tremendously and I feel this course truly prepared me for the course I'm in now, which is AP Literature.

    Course highlights:

Some of the highlights from this course were having reading seminars and getting to read pieces of non-fiction and being able to have meaningful and engaging discussions with my classmates and having Mrs. Stubbs guide or discussions. Another activity I really enjoyed were the debates we had regarding readings and just general topics. The debates were taken quite seriously and they helped me develop my skills in argument based writing.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Some advise that I would give to students that wish to take this course would be to definitely read the pieces of literature that are given to you. Although you may not enjoy everything you read, you will certainly learn something and it will benefit you when there are tests and discussions on it. Also, one of the most beneficial things a student in this course can do would be to study and continue to practice the vocabulary throughout the year. Knowing all the terms will guarantee an A in this course.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because in this class the teacher is great and you get to read a book called Of Mice and Men. The book is really good. The teacher is great and does whatever she can to help you pass her class within her abilities.

    Course highlights:

I gained word pronunciation and knowing the different uses of words in different contexts. I really like this teacher and would recommend her to anyone.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Work hard and do not stop for anything or anyone. She challenges you in everything she does to make sure you are learning the content.
