Not too easy. Not too difficult.
I would recommend this course because Dr. Curtis is an extremely intelligent and educated individual - he is highly informed on the subject matter and though it seems dense at times, he is more than willing to assist students when they're having trouble. Dr. Curtis also provided valuable suggestions and advice on students' writing, through the two essay assignments throughout the term. The course itself is reading-heavy, so students should be prepared for lots of reading and note-taking.
As a political science major, Curtis' course provided me with base-level knowledge and information regarding western political theories throughout history, as well as how those theories would and wouldn't work through modern-day applications.

Advice for students:
Be prepared for lots of note-taking, and utilize the study guides provided by Curtis before each exam. Visit him during office hours when writing essays - he'll basically tell you what he wants to see written on whichever topic you choose.
