    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It is required and an essential building block to the rest of the upper division biology courses.

    Course highlights:

The highlights would be the detail and attention that was given to cells and how they function because I had not been exposed to just how much we know about cellular level biology before.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure that if you haven't taken AP Biology that you work hard to stay on top of the topics and not fall behind the pace is very fast.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I highly recommend this course because Dr. Murray is a wonderful professor and she makes cell biology really fun. It's a hard course, no doubt, and you have to do a lot of reading outside of the classroom in order to comprehend the material fully, but she is a great professor and she's easily accessible during office hours.

    Course highlights:

Some of the highlights of this course for me were energy-related, and how proficient our bodies are at creating energy to use. DNA was also extremely interesting to learn about. Dr. Murray likes to make the students participate in ways that will help them understand cells better. For instance, she had everyone stand up and assigned them to be certain kinds of cells to show the class how ATP hydrolysis works.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't give up! it'll be hard at first, but read the book before class so you'll understand more of what she's talking about in class, and make sure to pay attention to diagrams.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This teacher is so hard to pay attention.

    Course highlights:

He gives random in class assignments that are not worth very many points.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I would not recommend taking any classes with this guy.
