Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Markus is an excellent English teacher. He makes sure that his students are engaged in what they are learning and most importantly that they participate in order to comprehend the material. The class overall, is relatively fair when it comes to small homework assignments, papers, debates, and exams. The class is not intended to be spoon-fed to you but it is not brain-wrecking difficult.

    Course highlights:

You guys get to read A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess and it is one of my absolute favorite novels of all time. The way Mr. Markus explains everything that happens and the activities he organizes makes everything in the book crystal clear and understandable. If there is one thing that I learned and to this day use as a guide in college, it would be how to properly write and cite a paper. Throughout college you are constantly writing papers for midterms or final exams so its very important that you have already been exposed to how to write a proper paper in either APA or MLA format.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure that you are doing the small homework assignments in order for you not to have such a tough time when it comes to the big papers. His exams are rather easy but never be too confident and make sure you set time apart to study for his class. He is such a friendly person so dont be afraid to become friends with him.
