    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class to any film major or minor. It gives you a greater feel for the film industry and takes you through the pastime. You get to learn a lot about modern film and even more about the greats who've started it.

    Course highlights:

Throughout the course I've learned many things. However, one of the most significant things we've covered was if Hollywood today is dead or not. After talking a great deal about this and reading just as much, there really isn't a definite answer. It's solely based on one's opinion. Hollywood makes movie after movie, but they aren't all filmed in Hollywood like the old days. To add to that, Hollywood isn't making as much money due to things like Netflix and Hulu. Despite these challenges, there will always be a demand for new movies and movie theaters.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you read through the articles, they really do help. Highlight important details. Pay attention in class and take notes during discussions.
