Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

At the beginning, I thought the class was going to be pointless and boring. Mrs. Varnado quickly changed that opinion and turned it into one of the greatest classes I've ever had.

    Course highlights:

My favorite part was completing the News and Views project but you will also learn about the history of African American and literature.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take it seriously. You'll love it in the end, 85 gets better.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because I learned a lot about the history of my countr that I didn't know about before. Classes are also much more enjoyable when you have a teacher like I did. Ms. Clark is not only one of the nicest teachers, but she also helps you learn by focusing on certain topics if she knows that you are struggling.

    Course highlights:

The course was very great if you are interested in the history of the country. I learned so much more about the civil war, the founding fathers, and indian removal. Another thing I learned was how history books are bias and Ms. Clark focused on helping us recognize bias within text.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

If you are planning on taking the Ap class then I advise that you stay on too of notes and homework, and always pay attention in class. If you do these three things the class will be much easier for you. There is a lot of information so if you don't pay attention or stay on too of homework and notes; you will fall behind in the class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because Ms. Clark taught concepts of history and how they could be applied to the present. This course focused on building writing skills and connecting past events to relevant situation. The work load was intensive, but the assignments helped retain the information that was being taught.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was the fact that it was more interactive. There were a lot of discussions and active assignments that required movement.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise students considering this course to always do their homework assignments, finish the reading for a specific topic before class, and always participate in discussions.
