    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The professors are great, they reach out to all of the students and have plenty of material to study for tests. They make the class flexible and have ways of expressing economic concepts that make it easier to learn.

    Course highlights:

Microeconomics was a class I thought was out of my interest area. As it turns out, economic theory is extremely interesting and it gave me insight into business and our countries economy. I often find myself, now, thinking of things in economic terms. That's something I never did before and it has brought new perspectives and a greater scope into other fields of study. More specifically I learned how to read economic graphs that involve supply and demand curves, marginal revenue, marginal cost, average total cost curves. I learned how to allocate money and goods in a budget constraint. I learned to find equilibriums in markets and learned basic economic laws like the law of diminishing returns. I learned about competitive markets and monopolies. Also, I learned about taxes and other government regulations.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you read all of the material and that you take advantage of office hours with the professors. If there are practice questions available to study, do them! These are hard concepts to grasp if you are new to economics.
