This course is a great introduction to the vast amounts of political theories that exsit today. While the reading can be extensive, the overall courseload is manageable and worth the work if you are interested in pursuing a political science major.
Learning to appreciate classic works like "Leviathan" and "The Trial and Death of Socrates" and how these philosophical works play an important role in the way political theories are formed.

If you are a slow reader or don't particularly care for reading, this course will be a challenge for you. Sparknotes is a good summary of some of the more difficult readings, but I wouldn't go there until after you have finished the assigned readings.
