    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because Professor Velasquez does an amazing job of teaching the best parts of sociology and applying it to the real world and daily life so that students get a feel for the issues that people face on a daily basis. I learned a lot about myself during this course because of the amazing lectures.

    Course highlights:

Professor Velasquez showed many videos and movies that helped highlight and teach some of the main points of her lectures. We watched videos on stereotypes, gender issues, and even social stigmas that people face. I learned a lot more about society from these videos and the many problems that need to be solved involving gender roles.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend keeping up with the weekly readings online and in the textbook. Another thing to do is make sure to stay caught up with the bi-weekly homework assignments. The assignments are not graded for right answers but are an awesome way to make sure you understand the material and are ready for the tests.
