    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I learned a lot throughout this class. It furthered my ability to read and analyze works of literature.

    Course highlights:

I particularly enjoyed reading the novel The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway. It was interesting to see how Hemingway exemplified the loss due to WW1 in this book.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice is to read closely. All of these authors have something really amazing to say about the world around them, but it's easy to get caught up in the structure or word choice.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

If you're a sophomore and you're debating between honors english and regular, go the extra mile and take the honors class because you'll be happy that you did. It's a very laid back class and you learn a lot more than you think you did!

    Course highlights:

We learned how to write a good persuasive essay

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't skip on reading the books!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This was a challenging course, but it was well worth it. I learned about literature and also how to think critically and became a better reader and writer.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to analyze literature and appreciate books of literary merit. I also became a better reader and writer through this.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

You will be expected to complete a lot of work on your own, so if you cannot make time for this your grade will suffer.
