    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is a course that will expand the human mind because through literature and writing a person can go to different places and this. In this course my knowledge expand throughout barriers because the rich literature and grammar that we practice stays with the person for the rest of their life.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course are reading having to write a variety of essays! Because it is amazing to look at your own person advance, to look back at the first essays that you did and then to notice the how far you have come to and the great improvement in the writing. This is a big highlight because it is a great experience and feeling to see your own improvement.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The advice that I would give students considering this course is to not be afraid to take the challenge because if it is not difficult or challenging no learning will be involve and also to try to make the best out the course no matter how hard it is.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It's a tough class but it really prepares you for college English and writing classes.

    Course highlights:

The teacher went through poetry, Shakespeare, prose and poetry writing, and open essay writing among so many other things. The amount of curriculum that was gone over and taught was astounding. In the weeks leading to the AP test, we had one timed write every single week.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take the entire class seriously. It is tough. It is going to make you want to cry and it is going to make you want to quit. Don't. Push through it, because it will make you so much more prepared for the future.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It is an incredibly difficult class, especially the way Mr Diedrich teaches it, but it is so incredibly helpful in preparing students for the rigor of college.

    Course highlights:

My essay writing skills have vastly improved from taking this class. Diedrich is a crazy teacher who, although he grades toughly, knows what he's doing and how to get his students to improve.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep pushing through. Even though you will struggle, hate life, hate Diedrich, and hate yourself all in one year, it is definitely worth it. Your skills will be above so many of the people in your college English classes and it will be partially because of this one class.
