    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Professor Tonning is such an amazing teacher. He takes the time to ensure that every student, individually, has fully understood a lesson or project. His office is always open for students to come and ask questions, and he provides tutoring hours immediately after every class. He really wants everyone to succeed.

    Course highlights:

By the end of the course, I can comfortably say that I can think critically with ease. This course challenges what you would normally think of as, difficult. Tonning focuses on this aspect, critical thinking, and as a byproduct, you learn c++.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't put off assignments until the last minute. Take the time to work through the problems, and take the time to really understand the lessons from the week. If you take the easy way out, you're just cheating yourself out of a fantastic learning experience.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Professor Tonning is a well-versed, fluent C++ programmer. Not only is he consistent in multiple programming languages, he understands how fundamental programming works, as well as is articulate to be able to teach the class exceptionally.

    Course highlights:

Learning how to define functions to work with other functions have really helped me understand procedural abstraction.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the textbook, get fanatical about programming. Love what you do.
